In my post for April 15th I wrote that Nick Johnson had changed his uniform number to “May 5” to honor the date he is placed on the disabled list:

If it’s any consolation Nick Johnson’s pornstache will remain a fixture in the Yankee clubhouse, rooting his team on and creeping out everybody else for the remainder of the season.
It’s not quite as porntastic as Giambi’s late lamented pornstache but it is still pretty creepy.
Meanwhile, Matsui will hit 25 hrs and knock in 100 … with the Angels. Ugh.
